Information: An active soloist and avid chamber musician, pianist Andrei Baumann has performed extensively in the USA, Europe, Canada and Venezuela. As winner of the 2009 Borromeo String Quartet Guest Artist Award, he performed Dvorak Piano Quintet with the quartet in Jordan Hall on January 29th, 2009. His Carnegie Hall debut at Weill Recital Hall occurred in May 2008 with violinist Lily Francis as part of the Distinctive Debuts series.

Mr. Baumann has a Masters of Music in Piano Performance from New England Conservatory, where he studied with Vivian Hornik Weilerstein. He received his Künstlerischer Ausbildung Diploma in June 2006 from the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Stuttgart, Germany, as a student of Shoshana Rudiakov. His Bachelor of Music degree was awarded by the Glenn Gould School of The Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, Canada, where his primary teachers were Andre Laplante, John Perry, and Peter Longworth.

Mr. Baumann is currently a member of the Piano Faculty at Encore/Coda Music Camp in Sweden, Maine, and Lexington Music School in Lexington, Massachussets.
